It's one thing to know how the world works, but it's another to see it unveil.

I’m pretty sure almost all of you have noticed this in your life, that when you look back at everything that has happened to you in the past, good or bad, just fits like the pieces of a puzzle?! Like that time you lost something, or broke up, or failed an exam, or even a critical choice you had to make led to something else that lead to another, and somehow you got to a way better place compared to the place you were/would have been in if non of those incidents happened in the first place.

I have always believed in the butterfly effect, but never in fate. Because I always wanted to believe that I am in charge of my life and the final outcome of it. But looking at the past, I feel like I’ve been stuck in a middle of an endless universe where everything happens because of something else that happened in the past. Every little thing that has happened and will happen in my life was/will be a direct result of all the actions of everyone, and everything that came before me. The Big Bang created atoms, which created molecules, which then created everything else, creating me in the process.

I love the feeling that I’m just a tiny piece in an endless universe. I exist just to make someone else exist. I exist so that the universe could last a little longer, or maybe end a little sooner. I exist because a long time ago somewhere in the universe nothing decided to create something.

In a way, the process that created me took 13.8 billion years. That should count for something, shouldn’t it?
